Hello and welcome! My website is all about Disney’s America, the only Disney theme park to be announced and then cancelled. This website will explore the whole story, from why the theme park was proposed in the first place to why it received backlash and got cancelled. My purpose is to prove that the case of Disney’s America is an extremely successful and important case of local Virginians coming together to preserve an important historical site. Throughout my narrative on this website, I will highlight the development of Disney’s America and the strategies that the opposition used to stop Disney’s America from being built.
